ARM has assisted the Greenfield Township Municipal Authority (GTMA) with the development of a 350 gpm (~0.5 MGD) groundwater supply well drilled and constructed in the Ridgeley Sandstone Member of the Old Port Formation.
Project Highlights
Well siting included the use of an electrical resistivity (ER) geophysical survey and geologic mapping.
Well drilling and construction was done using a dual-rotary drilling rig and included the placement of a wire-wrapped, stainless steel, telescoping well screen to ensure the integrity of the well.
Aquifer testing has been conducted in accordance with a PADEP- and SRBC-approved testing plan.
Aquifer testing was successfully performed, including PADEP New Source sampling/analyses as well as Microscopic Particulate Evaluation sampling/analyses. All results were favorable for permit approval and development.
Approvals were received from both the SRBC and the PADEP for a 0.5 MGD groundwater withdrawal.
